The Per Job Money Tracker
Most handymen can tell you what they invoiced last month. Very few can tell you which jobs made money and which ones quietly cost them. One line per job, and this answers both.

Set two numbers, log your jobs, and it does the rest. Nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for.

Here's the problem it solves. You finish a job, you get paid, the money goes in the account, and you move on. It felt like a good job, so you assume it was one. Six months later you're busier than ever and the bank balance hasn't moved.
That happens because a job can look fine and still lose money. The materials ran over. It took nine hours instead of six. You gave a bit off at the end because they were nice about it. None of that shows up anywhere — unless you write it down.
This is where you write it down. It takes about ninety seconds per job.
What It Tells You
What you really earned
Every job gets a real hourly figure after materials and overhead come out, and a green or red mark against your target rate. No more guessing which ones were worth it.
Which lead sources pay
Jobs, hours, revenue, profit and margin broken out by where the work came from. Google, referrals, Facebook, your truck. This is the table that should decide your marketing budget.
Whether you're hitting your rate
Your true billed rate across every job, the gap against your target, and what that gap adds up to across every hour you've worked.
How To Use It
Set two numbers at the top
Your overhead per hour — insurance, vehicle, phone, software, rent, everything that costs you money whether you work or not, divided by the hours you actually bill in a year.
Your target rate — what you need to charge per hour. Not sure? Work it out with the free Hourly Rate Audit Calculator and come back.
Log every job, same day
Date, customer, what the job was, where the lead came from, hours, what you charged for labor, what the materials cost. Seven boxes. The grey columns fill themselves in.
Same day matters. Do it Friday for the whole week and you will round your hours down, every time, without meaning to. That's the exact mistake this is meant to catch.
Read the Your Numbers tab once a month
Second tab along the bottom. It fills in by itself. Look at two things: the percentage of jobs hitting your target, and the lead source table.
If fewer than half your jobs hit target, that's a pricing problem and no amount of working faster fixes it. If one lead source has great volume and poor margin, you now know where your money is going.
What's In It
Be honest in it or don't bother
The only way this costs you anything is if you fudge the hours. Put down the drive time. Put down the hour you spent at the supply house. Put down the Saturday morning you went back to fix the thing that wasn't quite right.
A tracker full of optimistic numbers is worse than no tracker at all, because now you've got proof of something that isn't true. Log it ugly for two months and you'll know more about your business than most handymen learn in ten years.

Knowing is the easy part. Changing your prices, holding the line when someone pushes back, and building a business that doesn't need you on every job — that's the part we help with.
